While they share ancestry with Guardians, their path diverged significantly, leading to a complex relationship built on mutual respect but frequent political friction regarding authority and territory.

The wind howls across the lunar plains, carrying dust that glitters like crushed diamonds under the light of Earth. A patrol of Awoken soldiers marches in perfect unison through the crystalline spires of their capital, armor gleaming with blue energy. High above, Queen Mara Sov watches from her balcony, her expression unreadable as she scans the horizon for signs of the Taken.
